Yilin Ye’s Personal Website

I’m Yilin Ye, a visualization researcher. I’m joining the School of Software, Tsinghua University from October 2025 as a postdoctoral researcher and a Shuimu Scholar (清华大学水木学者) advised by Prof. Shixia Liu. Previously, I obtained a PhD degree in Computation Media and Arts from the Division of Emerging Interdisciplinary Areas, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, supervised by Prof. Wei Zeng and Prof. Kang Zhang. Before that, I got my Bachelor’s degree from SUN Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, with a BA in Foreign Language and a BSc in Mathematics.

Research Interest and Vision

Currently, I’m interested in research at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Human Computer Interaction and Art. Particularly, I seek to reflect on the challenges and opportunities for artists and other users in the age of Generative AI. Supported by visualization and information retrieval technology, my research seeks to provide a channel for human to interact with and make sense of art, design and GenAI data.
